What’s a Coffee Cake?

If you read the ingredients and realize that this Coffee Cake has no coffee, don’t be surprised! I know it’s confusing, but the name “Coffee Cake” comes not from the name of the flavor, but from the fact that this cake is typically enjoyed with coffee. Similarly to teacakes, which have no tea in the ingredient list, but are enjoyed with tea.
